The Weekend Preview

They say time flies when you are having fun so we must be having a crazy time right now because February is almost done and dusted. Why not say goodbye to February and welcome in March by getting involved, and taking down, one of this trio of online poker tournaments?

Turbo Series 63: $22 NLHE [Double Deuce SE], $200K Gtd

PokerStars’ Turbo Series is in full swing and it reaches its halfway stage this weekend. Each of the Turbo Series events is great in its own right, but we think the special edition of the ever-popular Double Deuce is one event you cannot afford to miss.

Shuffling up and dealing at the slightly strange time of 5:22 p.m. GMT on February 28, the Turbo Series 63: $22 NLHE [Double Deuce SE] guarantees its prize pool will top the scales at $200,000 by the time late registration closes at the conclusion of the 15th six-minute level. This means the tournament needs at least 10,000 entrants if PokerStars is to avoid an overlay.

Your $22 buys you a 50,000 starting stack. Blinds start at 200/400/50a and increase every six minutes. Buying in as the late registration period ends, secures you a 10 big blind stack, so we recommend you set an alarm and jump into this tournament as close to its start time as possible unless you love the push-fold element in an MTT.

There are no satellites available for this event right now, although the $22 buy-in is at the more affordable end of the scale.

The First Edition of the 888poker Big Shot 109 Main Event

888poker has completely revamped its multi-table tournament schedule and we have to admit that it looks impressive. One of 888poker’s brand new tournaments takes place at 7:00 p.m. on February 28, the Big Shot 109 Main Event.

This tournament’s buy-in is given away in its name. $109 buys you into this event direct and you get your hands on 15,000 chips for that sum. Blinds start at only 30/60/7a and increase every 12-minutes, doing so pretty smoothly with no noticeable jumps in cost per round.

Should you dust your stack off during the first 205 minutes, you have the option to re-enter up to three times. This shouldn’t happen with a 250 big blind starting stack but poker is a funny old game!

$16.50 buy-in satellites are in the 888poker lobby right now, along with some tasty-looking freerolls. Do let us know if you manage to bag yourself a cheap Big Shot 109 Main Event seat.

Will Be Crowned the GGPoker Global MILLION$ Champion This Week?

The Global MILLION$ at GGPoker is a $108 buy-in $1 million guaranteed multi-day tournament that has got your name written all over it.

There are more than a dozen Day 1s remaining on the schedule (at the time of writing), each setting you back $108 unless you manage to win your seat via one of a plethora of satellites running around the clock. Your $108 investment gives you a starting stack of 10,000 chips and you play to a 12-minute clock where the blinds and antes start at 50/100/12a.

Your goal on Day 1 is to reach the end of the 18th level. Manage this and you progress to the Final Day at 7:30 p.m. GMT on February 28. If you don’t make it through at the first attempt, there’s no need to worry because you’re allowed to enter as many Day 1s as you wish. You can even fire another bullet if you make it through to the final day with a stack size you’re unhappy with. Be aware, however, only your largest stack is uploaded to Day 2 if you progress more than once.

$10 satellites, each with eight $108 seats guaranteed, are waiting in the GGPoker lobby right now. Good luck.
