Russia’s “RRomashka” is the player to catch when the first cards are pitched at 6:00 p.m. GMT on February 9. The Russian is a regular in this tournament having played in 22 of the 35 Super MILLION$ to-date.
RRomashka, who is making his third final table appearance today, has already locked up $53,830 and is eight eliminations away from a $430,464. Winning this event would be remarkable thanks to the Russian winning their seat from a $100 satellite. That would be some ROI.
The in-form Nick Petrangelo reached back-to-back final tables and is gunning for glory. Both of Petrangelo’s previous Super MILLION$ final tables have finished with him collecting third-place money. He won’t want to complete a hattrick of thirds that is for sure, even if that would award him $256,063 in prize money.
Who will win this week's Super MILLION$? Find out right here
Artur Martirosian has reached his sixth Super MILLION$ final table and is the only players at this one that has tasted glory in this event. Martirosian took down this tournament in August 2020 and walked away with $442,184, which is one of the reasons he’s managed to bank $1,245,185 from his 35 appearances in the Super MILLION$. Write off this Russian’s chances at your peril.
Fourth place at the restart belongs to Justin Bonomo. The man who is second in live poker’s all-time money list with more than $49.1 million in cashes, is hoping to beat his personal best in this event tonight. Bonomo’s best finish in a Super MILLION$ is, like Petrangelo’s, a third-place. Bonomo is in a good position to finish deeper this time around.
Tonight is the night for Monaco’s “OscarBrown” who is not only cashing in his first Super MILLION$ but is combining that with his first final table appearance. Information about OscarBrown is scarce but you don’t navigate your way to a final table in a tournament of this magnitude without being extremely talented. It will be interesting to see their playing style when GGPoker’s YouTube overage kicks off at 6:00 p.m. GMT this evening.

$100 Satellite Punt Turns Into Super MILLION$ Final Table Spot
Mexico’s “Face-O” is another player who won a $100 satellite into a $1,000 satellite and has now turned that into a Super MILLION$ final table spot. This is the second time we’ve seen Face-O at one of these final tables. The previous final table run ended in a fourth-place exit back in September 2020. Finishing third or better in this one will more than double their Super MILLION$ winnings.
Further down the chip counts and with a bit more work to do is the New Zealand superstar David Yan. Yan came close to winning this tournament on January 24 but ultimately had to make do with a runner-up finish worth $314,924. That was Yan’s third final table spot from six cashes. He returns with 21 big blinds so could do with chipping up, but he’s not in a completely hopeless position by any stretch of the imagination.
Austria’s “DaanOss” is already guaranteed a healthy return on their investment because they won their seat via a $1,000 satellite. One cash from five previous attempts is this player’s Super MILLION$ record. They finished in 17th place on January 17 for $29,020. Wherever DaanOss finishes, they’ll blow that previous best out of the water.
Niklas Astedt is the man bringing up the rear with around 16 big blinds. Astedt’s record in this tournament is incredible. He’s only missed one of the 35 tournaments, has cashed 15 times and reached nine final tables! Amazingly, Astedt still hasn’t won the Super MILLION$ but surely it's only a case of when not if he will get the proverbial monkey off his back. Victory may not come today but stranger things have happened in the poker world.
