On Tuesday night, the WPT Online Poker Open $30K GTD 8-Max NLH came to an end after four hours of action and it was Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier running his way to the finish line for the first-place prize of $12,812.50.

The event saw 16 players start the tournament with that number steadily increased throughout the tournament as Sherrier outlasted a field of 82 entries at $535 apiece. The players quickly dwindled and registration ended three levels early as the 82 total entries generated a prize pool of $41,000 which set to pay the top 12 players.

Eliminations continued like wild fire as "jerseyman99", Frank "FrankyFunk Funaro", Ryan “TheSims” Hohner, and Christopher "Chalmisi6" Hill all took a piece of the pie but fell short of making the final table.

"KevinDurant" Wins WPT Online Poker Open $20K GTD

Monday night's WPT Online Poker Open on the partypoker US Network featured a $215 buy-in, $20K GTD that exceeded its guaranteed prize pool by over 40% as 141 entries generated a total of $28,200 up for grabs. "KevinDurant" won the lion's share, besting the field en route to the top prize of $6,485 after just under seven full hours of play.

"KevinDurant" did not claim victory with ease, losing an early pot in the heads-up match to eventual runner-up Derek "pompii" Sudell that left them with less than one-eighth of the chips in play. A couple of doubles brought them back into contention before back-and-forth play occurred that left them a chip lead they would never relinquish.

"Rtrin777" Wins Phased Finale

Early Thursday morning, the World Poker Tour Online Poker Open powered by partypoker US Network wrapped up its series with the conclusion of the $215 buy-in Phased $40K GTD, a tournament that drew 278 entries and offered up a $57,084 prize pool.

The tournament started with 96 registered players, though that number steadily grew until the 278 total entries became official.

After registration closed the virtual bodies fell at a rapid pace and after a few short levels, "Samanthawins" was eliminated on the bubble, leaving the remaining players in the money.

From there, players started dropping by the wayside as Katie"KatieStone" Stone (40th place - $323.09), Jaime "mooseman1710" Reyes (31st Place - $365.33), Michael "ParxBigStax" Marder (23rd Place - $450.96), Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken (18th Place - $570.84), and Ted "roystalin" Ely (10th Place - $1,027.51) all got a piece of the pie but fell short of the making final table.

The heads-up battle saw "KrookedTyrant" hold a 2:1 chip advantage but their aggression turned against them as they doubled-up "Rtrin777" within the first few hands and they couldn't gain any momentum from that point as they had to settle for second place.
