Carlos "Wtfisthis" Henrique Wins GGPoker WSOP Winter Online Circuit Event #7: $1,500 NLHE 6-Handed ($153,213)

It took more than 11 hours to whittle down a field of 889 entries, including 527 unique players and 362 re-entries, to an eventual winner in Event #1,500 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship. In a duel of players from South America, it was Brazil's Carlos "Wtfisthis" Henrique that came out on top after defeating Argentina's "EDUARDO1957" in a brief heads-up encounter.

Both took home the lion's share of the $1,266,825 prize pool which was shared among the top 143 finishers and an ICM deal was cut before the action resumed to determine the winner of the WSOP Circuit ring. Henrique earned the cherry on top of his $153,213 payday while "EDUARDO1957" can console themselves that they earned a slightly bigger slice worth $157,915.

Heading into the final table, "EDUARDO1957" had fewer than $5,000 in cashes to his name at GGPoker, while Henrique boasted more than $82,000 in cashes. Four known poker players were among the contenders on the final table including Luigi "shadinho94" Shehadeh, Aleksejs Ponakovs, Jon "Marklanders1" Garde, and Roland "Gwriden" Rokita but they were out of chips by the time the podium was reached.

Seungmook "7high" Jung Wins GGPoker WSOP Winter Online Circuit Event #8: $600 Marathon ($153,213)

Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos nearly wins first WSOP Circuit gold ring.

The aptly named WSOPC #8: $600 Marathon No-Limit Hold'em played for just under 13 hours in total, and South Korean Seungmook "7high" Jung emerged the winner for $96,714. Jung outlasted 1,264 entries including besting three-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Adrian Mateos during heads-up play to claim the largest portion of the $720,480 prize pool.

Jung had a few results in the World Series of Poker Online 2020 earlier this year, but today's win would appear to nearly double his previous best score, $43,040 for seventh place in this year's WSOP Online $1,000 No Limit Hold'em 6-Handed (Event #73).

Meanwhile, Mateos had an opportunity to claim the biggest prize of this event as Jung offered him a deal when Mateos had the lead. After Mateos declined, Jung went on to win his first gold ring while denying Mateos to do just the same.

Urmo Velvelt Wins GGPoker WSOPC Event #9: $315 BOUNTY GIANT ($115,036)

Urmo Velvet
Urmo Velvet wins his first WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Estonia has earned the first victory during the GGPoker World Series of Poker Winter Online Circuit as Urmo Velvelt took down Event #9 $315 BOUNTY GIANT for $115,036 in cash and bounty prizes.

It was a "giant" field indeed as 4,852 total entries created a prize pool of $1,455,600, and Velvelt defeated Brazil's "Dexman1" in heads-up for his first WSOP Circuit Ring.

It was the far biggest recorded cash for Velvelt thus far who staged a comeback on the nine-handed final table, which he entered as the bottom stack with just 18 blinds. However, the Estonian steamrolled through the late stages in dominating fashion. That is particularly reflected by his PKO bounty portion of $56,726, which accounts for nearly half of the winnings.

The final table also featured "GROSZEK 5", Jerome "gorgiAAs" Finck, and Brian Green, among others.
