The Weekend Preview

The weekend is upon us and that means many of you reading this article will have some downtime that you’re planning to spend playing poker. And why not? You’ve chosen a good weekend to hit the virtual felt because there are some incredible multi-table tournaments coming you way at GGPoker, partypoker, and PokerStars.

The $3 Million Guaranteed Battle of Malta Main Event at GGPoker

Time is running out to compete in the massive Battle of Malta Main Event over at GGPoker. The $550 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament has a $3 million guaranteed prize pool, but that prize pool looks like being blown out of the water.

Some 4,270 unique players have purchased 1,056 re-entries between them over the course of the completed Day 1s, and only 741 of those starters remain in the hunt for the title.

Overlay currently weighs in at a shade over $217,000 but there are nine flights remaining on the schedule.

Everyone sits down with 25,000 chips, the equivalent of 100 big blinds because those blinds begin at 50/100/12a and increase every 12-minutes during the standard Day 1s, eight-minutes in the turbo and Last Chance, and five-minutes in the Last Minute.

Of course, there are dozens of satellites from only $5 for you to try and win your Battle of Malta Main Event seat from.

The $5 Million Guaranteed CPP Main Event at partypoker

The $5,300 buy-in $5 million guaranteed Caribbean Poker Party Online Main Event’s second flight takes place on Sunday 22 November and it’s your final chance to enter.

The structure of this tournament is a sight to behold. A one million chip starting stack and 25-minute blinds that start at 2,500/5,000/625a. Late registration is only open for nine levels and only a single re-entry is permitted should you dust your stack off while late registration is open.

Some 490 players bought into last Sunday’s Day 1A and only 70 of them made it through to Day 2. Michael Addamo is the man to catch, which is a recurring theme, after he amassed 18,658,743 chips during the opening flight.

$5,300 is on the expensive side which is why partypoker is running a shedload of satellites from $0.01. The best value of these satellites shuffles up and deals at 15:30 GMT on November 22. This Main Event Day 1B costs $530 to enter, unless you win your way in, and has an incredible 50x $5,300 seats guaranteed!

The Half Prize Sunday Storm at PokerStars

The Sunday Storm is one of PokerStars’ most popular Sunday tournament thanks to its affordable $11 buy-in and $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. This week’s Sunday Storm is part of the MicroMillions series meaning it is a special edition.

Its guarantee remains at a cool $200,000 but PokerStars has slashed the buy-in to a mere $5.50! Imagine turning $5.50 into the lion’s share of at least $200,000.

You can make up to three re-entries during the first 2.5 hours of play and receive back your 10,000-chips starting stack. Blinds increase every 10-minutes and start at 30/60/8a, so there’s plenty of room to manoeuvre.

At this price, you can’t afford to miss this juicy tournament.
