GGPoker WSOP Main Event

The first of three flights in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event at GGPoker is right around the corner with Day 1A shuffling up and dealing at 6:00 p.m. GMT on Sunday 29 November.

This tournament is an online/live poker hybrid which ultimately crowns the 2020 World Champion. Day 1A, 1B, and 1C take place online at GGPoker on November 29, December 5 and December 6. They all feed into Day 2 on December 7, which continues until only the final table nine hopefuls remain.

Those nine finalists then head to King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic and play the final table in a live setting. Topping this final table not only guarantees a huge payout, but it also gives that champion the chance to compete in a winner-takes-all $1 million heads-up battle against the champion of the WSOP.com edition of this $10,000 tournament.

Whoever wins that on-on-one battle is crowned the 2020 World Champion and walks away with a cool $1 million prize.

What to Expect on Day 1A of the WSOP Main Event at GGPoker

Cards are in the air in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event from 6:00 p.m. GMT prompt. The event costs $10,000 ($9,600+$400) to enter, unless you bag yourself a cut-price seat from one of the many satellites running around the clock.

Regardless of how you buy in, you receive 60,000-chips, which are the equivalent of 300 big blinds because the blind start at 100/200 with antes coming into play during the second level. Those levels last 30-minutes each, making this a superb blind structure where the cream will rise to the top.

Late registration remains open until the end of the 11th level, but don’t leave entering too late because the $10,000 WSOP Main Event is a freezeout. This means if you play Day 1A and bust, your WSOP Main Event dreams are over for another year.

Which Stars Are Playing on Day 1A of the WSOP Main Event

Players are already flocking to GGPoker and buying into the WSOP Main Event. Ninety-players had bought in as of 12:00 p.m. GMT and some of the world’s most recognisable names are ready to go into battle.

Look out for the likes of Rainer Kempe, Bryan Paris, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Fabian Quoss, recent WSOP bracelet winner Christian Rudolph, Anatoly Filatov, Steve Van Zadelhoff, and Rui Ferreira as they start their quest for WSOP Main Event glory on Day 1A.
