WPTWOC Main Event Satellites

Some of poker’s biggest stars are set to descend on partypoker for the $10 million guaranteed WPT World Online Championship Main Event and you could be joining them in this $10,300 buy-in tournament from as little as $2.20.

The $10 million guaranteed WPTWOC Main Event kicks off with the first of its two starting flights on September 6. There aren’t a whole lot of people with $10,300 laying around so partypoker has upped the ante when it comes to its Mega Sats and is guaranteeing 200x $10,300 seats into Day 1A.

Feeder satellites start with a buy-in of only $2.20, making the WPTWOC Main Event open and accessible to all. This paltry $2.20 can and will eventually be turned into a $10,300 seats.

Those of you with larger bankrolls can cut out the lower buy-in feeders and jump straight into the Main Event Mega Sats. These come in $530 and $1,050 guises.

Of course, there are also the WPTWOC edition SPINS tournaments. SPINS are partypoker’s take on jackpot sit & go games and these special edition SPINS make it possible to turn a $10 buy-in into a $10,300 ticket in literally a couple of minutes.

WPTWOC Satellite Success Stories

There have already been several cases of partypoker players parleying a small satellite entry into a much more substantial prize.

Team partypoker’s Richard Dubini got his hands on a $10,000 partypoker LIVE Passport from a $109 satellite is is planning to use this prize to play for a share of $10 million rake free.

Ireland’s Daniel Smyth’s story is even better. The Irishman won a $3,200 seat to the 8-Max Championship from a $33 satellite a couple of weeks ago. Smyth went on to finish in first place and turn that $33 into a massive $428,391.

Brazilian amateur Liliane Figueirdo also benefited from the ongoing WPT-related promotions by turning a freeroll entry into more than $13,000. Figueirdo won a $109 ticket from a WPT Second Chance freeroll and went on to finish third for $13,153.

More recently, Kim Heidemann banked $104,299 by finishing second in the WPT Micro Main Event from a low-stakes satellite.

You can also find satellites for Day 1B of the $1,050 WPT Mini Main Event, which also takes place on September 6. Day 1A took place last weekend and saw 2,510 players buy-in. A similar-sized field is expected this weekend, perhaps an even larger one thanks to partypoker hosting a $33 buy-in Monster Sat on September 5 that has 100x $1,050 tickets guaranteed!

Fifteen of the 100 tickets winners from the Day 1A Monster Sat made it through from Day 1A and are now on course to secure a slice of the $5 million guaranteed prize pool.
