The biggest online poker festival ever to take place in the long history of 888poker is more than halfway through its schedule with the Millions Superstorm guaranteeing at more than $8 million across 480 tournaments from Sept. 10 to Oct. 11.

The latest tournament in the books is the 888Millions $530 High Roller, with Scotland's Kevin "kevlar1991" Frame enjoying the best result of his poker career, shipping the tournament for a juicy $23,000 after satelliting in for just $16.50.

The highlight of the festival is the two-day $320 888Millions Superstorm Main Event boasting a huge $1 million guarantee. Opening flights have already begun for this event and there are plenty of chances every day for you to earn a ticket to this event for free.

Satellite-Winner Frame Emerges Triumphant

Frame has been battling it out on both the virtual and live felt for more than a decade and has amassed more than $700,000 in online tournament earnings along with nearly $50,000 in live earnings.

"Buzzing and relieved," Frame said after the win. "I was the runaway chip leader from a long way out then lost a few to end up short stack three-handed. So it felt good to claw it back and get over the finish line."

The Scottish grinder doesn't regularly play $530 buy-in events online and qualified into this event for just $16.50.

"It was a fun spin up from a 16.50 satellite," Frame told PokerNews.

888Millions Superstorm Recent Results

Frame wasn't the only player to hit big the past couple of days. For that matter, he wasn't even the only player to win an 888Millions event from the United Kingdom as Feargus "EZ.PZ" Murphy won two events and "Fizzycali", "josecardoso9", "liquidpoker1", Stephen "kanabal18" Kane, and "NORM5KI" each won one event.

Murphy has been absolutely crushing the series with four victories and two other podium finishes including a bronze performance in the High Roller two weeks ago for $12,150.

888Millions Superstorm Main Event Update

Opening flights for the Superstorm Main Event are underway with thus far 1,480 entrants (including 157 inflight re-entries) already hopping into the action in hopes for a lion's share of the at least $1 million guaranteed in the prize pool.

A total of 221 players and counting have thus far virtually bagged a stack with many more to come. Brazil's "vitola99" has kept the chip lead for since near the beginning of the series after growing his 10,000 opening chip stack into a monster stack of 227,527 in chips.

There were two changes in the top ten on the leaderboard since Monday with Ireland's "bigMEway" and Malta's "GarbinaD" both bagging big stacks this week. This knocked Canada's "xFink_Ploydx" and Russia's "mikinads" out of the top 10 with both of these players still in a great spot entering Day 2.

The Main Event provides plenty of action with 20-minute blind levels on Day 1. Opening flights end the sooner of 12 blind levels in the books or the field trimmed down to 14 percent of its starting size.

The next opening flight takes place on Monday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. GMT / 3 p.m. EDT. There are plenty of satellites for players to qualify for pennies on the dollars along with many paths for players to get their tickets for free!

Surviving players will return for one final day of play on Sunday, Oct. 11 when all of the action will be reported under the watchful eye of the PokerNews Live Reporting team.
