Weekend Preview

The weekend is upon us but there’s not time for resting on our laurels because there are some massive poker tournaments to be won online. Three of the biggest events, including how to win your way into them, are shown below. Which one of this exciting trio will you compete in this weekend?

$25 Million Guaranteed WSOP Main Event Continues at GGPoker

The $25 million guaranteed WSOP Main Event kicked off at GGPoker last weekend and continues this week too. $5,000 is this massive tournament’s buy-in and for that you receive a generous helping of 50,000-chips and get to play to a 30-minute clock where the blinds start at only 100/200/25a!

$5,000 is a little on the steep size, even if it does give you a shot at a $25 million guaranteed prize pool, which is why we suggest trying to win your way into WSOP #77: $5,000 No Limit Hold’em Main Event via one of the plethora of satellites running around the clock.

There are literally dozens of $100 satellites to the Main Event so you’ll probably always find one regardless of when you get to play some online poker. It’s possible to play in satellites with buy-ins as low as $5, meaning everyone has the opportunity to play for what will be an astonishing first-place prize and, of course, a gold WSOP bracelet.

The WPT #06 Mix-Max Championship costs $3,200 and has a whopping $3 million guaranteed. Buy into the $320 edition, known as the Mix-Max Mini Championship, to play for a share of $1 million. The $33 Mix-Max Micro Championship has a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Day 1A for all three events shuffles up and deals at 8:00 p.m. on August 22. Day 1B kicks off at the same time on August 23. Only one re-entry per flight is allowed and late registration is restricted to only nine levels.

Anyone making it through to Day 2 needs to be ready to commence battle at 8:00 p.m. on August 24 with the third and final day starting at the same time on August 25 where the final table of the $3,200 buy-in event being stream with cards-up on partypoker’s Twitch channel.

As you’d expect, there are dozens of Mega Satellites to enter. Don’t think these are worth your time? They certainly are, just ask Daniel Smyth who turned a $33 satellite into almost $430,000 by winning the recent Knockout Championship!
