Stephen Chidwick

Some online poker tournament players can go their entire careers without taking down a major event. Stephen Chidwick, Ali Imsirovic, and Artur Martirosian are not like most players, however, they’re absolute beasts at the poker table.

Chidwick, Imsirovic, and Martirosian each won a brace of high stakes online poker tournaments on July 5 and walked away with bankroll-boosting prizes. What did they win and how much? Let’s find out.

Chidwick Crushes at partypoker

Both of Chidwick’s victories came at partypoker in the High Roller Club tournaments the site runs. The first came in the $5,200 Big Game which has $750,000 guaranteed but paid out $866,370. Chidwick secured $191,727 of that impressive sum by outlasting a field of 165-players on the final day.

The final table was a star-studded affair with the likes of Rainer Kempe, Mark Radoja, recent WPT Online Championship Main Event champion Christian Jeppsson, and Mike Watson all present and correct.

Thomas Boivin was the only player standing between Chidwick and a near $200,000 score and Chidwick brushed him aside to bank title number one of the night. Boivin walked away with a still welcomed $137,752.

Rok Gostisa was the first player to cash. He was joined on the rail by Wiktor Malinowski, Timothy Adams, and Jake Schindler before Chidwick defeated Poker Central’s Dan Shak heads-up to scoop $176,000 and leave Shak to collect $112,615.

Imsirovic Wins Almost $510,000!

Imsirovic’s victories came at partypoker and GGPoker. At partypoker, Imsirovic came out on top of a 38-strong field in the $25,500 buy-in High Roller Club Main Event and locked up the lion’s share of the $950,000 prize pool.

Mikita Badziakouski burst the bubble when he busted in sixth-place, paving the way to at least $59,375 for the remaining players. Daniel Dvoress secured this sum before Michael Addamo busted in fourth for $95,000.

Artur Martirosian crashed and burned in third-place for a $156,750 addition to his bankroll, leaving Imsirovic and Dusk Till Dawn owner Rob Yong to lock horns heads-up. Imsirovic defeated Yong heads-up to bank $387,125 and resign Yong to a $251,750 consolation prize.

His second victory came in the GGPoker High Rollers Blade Mulligan, a $5,000 buy-in event that saw 118 players take to the virtual felt.
