Stake players or sell action in GGPoker Phased Tournaments as part of the 2020 WSOP Online

The innovative staking feature on GGPoker just got even better in time for the 2020 WSOP Online. Poker fans and players can now buy a piece of their favourite player's action or sell their own should they survive Day 1 of phased tournaments.

It makes railing players in the 2020 WSOP Online even more exciting, as they close in on a share of some HUGE guarantees as part of the schedule.

The feature is already in place for the first event of the 2020 WSOP Online on GGPoker, the $2m GTD Opener. Day 2 for that event gets underway on July 19th at 19:30 (BST).

If you want to stake players, just head to the GGPoker client, but better do so fast! Current chip leader "Almightycat" has already sold 7% of their action!

How It Works?

The base price per 1% of a player’s Day 2 action is calculated by comparing the Day 2 starting chip stack with the Day 1 starting stack. If you make it to a second or final day with less than the Day 1 starting stack, you will be unable to sell any stakes.

You may only sell action while a tournament’s registration period remains open.

Staking Allows for "Intelligent Investing" Says Negreanu

One player who is excited about the possibilities of Day 2 Staking on GGPoker is Daniel Negreanu. The GGPoker Ambassador has previously given his legions of fans the opportunity to stake him when he played in the GGMasters earlier this year, and now fans will be able to do the same during the 2020 WSOP Online.

"The GG Staking platform just got a whole lot cooler," Negreanu told PokerNews. "In the client, you could always buy or sell before the start of an event, but now you can make even more informed decisions based on day one results.

"This allows you to either sell and lock up some cash, or buy some players who already have a big stack. Allows for more intelligent investing. I think it's great."
