888poker Freezeout Series Guarantees $665,000
Major tournaments with a freezeout structure are something of a rarity in today’s game, but 888poker is running a festival featuring only freezeout events.
The Freezeout Series takes place from June 21 and runs through to its conclusion on June 29. Twenty-four events take place across those eight days and those tournaments have combined guarantees weighing in at $665,000.
Tournaments in the Freezeout Series start with buy-ins of only $5.50 and increase up to $109, making them at the more affordable end of the scale. Guarantees are substantial too, ranging from $10,000 and soaring to a cool $200,000.
Each of the 24 Freezeout Series events require the utmost concentration because once your event is over once you bust. The only slight exception to this rule is the Freezeout Series Main Event, a $109 buy-in affair with $200,000 guaranteed to be won.
The $200,000 Main Event has several Day 1s available. Those Day 1s are played as freezeouts, but you can enter a future Day 1 should you fail to progress to the tournament’s Day 1.
888poker isn’t revealed how many $109 Day 1s there’ll be for the $200,000 Main Event and only one, at 7:00 p.m. on June 14, is showing in the lobby. What we do know is each Day 1 has a 10,000 starting stack, blinds start at 25/50/5a, and increase every 20-minutes. The flight concludes at the end of the 12th level.
