The Weekend Preview

The weekend is upon us and that means many of you are planning to hit the virtual felt and win yourself plenty of bucks! There are so many massive tournaments to choose from that you couldn’t possibly play them all.

PokerNews has selected a handful of stand out MTTs that you need to get your teeth into over the weekend. Here’s to you taking at least one of them down and featuring in Monday’s popular Sunday Briefing article!

$1 Million Gtd Big Game at partypoker

The Big Game is partypoker’s biggest buy-in weekly tournament, one with a $1 million guaranteed prize pool. Buying into the Phase Final on April 19 will set you back $5,200 but you can play your way into that stage from only $5.50.

partypoker recently made the Big Game a Phased event. Think of phases as a live tournament with multiple starting flights. You can buy into the Big Game at any stage and you take your stack through with you to the next highest stage.

Turn $5.50 into a shot at a $1M prize pool

Phased for the Big Game start at $5.50 and players from here progress to the $55 buy-in Phase 2. These in turn see you progress to the $530 buy-in Phase 3, with players who make it through from here competing in the Phase Final.

Last week’s Big Game paid out $1,197,175 across the top 40 finishers. “onehundredeyez” banked the top prize, a princely $241,082!

$3 Million Gtd Sunday Million at PokerStars

PokerStars’ Sunday Million has gone a little crazy over the past few weeks with the $1 million guarantee being blitzed. Last week, PokerStars made the Sunday Million a two-day affair with a $2.5 million guarantee. Some 34,077 entrants bought in for $109 and created a $3,407,700 prize pool!

British star Christopher “NigDawG” Brammer was the last player standing in this massive event. He padded his bankroll with $238,333! That could be you this week.

Check out the MicroMillions schedule

A cool $3 million is guaranteed to be won in this weekend’s Sunday Million! Day 1 starts at 7:00 p.m. on April 19 with play continuing for eight hours and 50-minutes. Play then resumes at 7:00 p.m. on April 20 and continues until the massive prize pool has been completely dished out.

Sit & Go satellites from only $0.50 are running around the clock. Traditional satellites are also available from only $11, including one $11 Mega Sat at 5:05 p.m. on April 19 that has 500x $109 Sunday Million seats waiting to be won.

$100,000 Gtd Sunday Mega at 888poker

The $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep is a fantastic tournament that is definitely worthwhile playing. It costs $109 to enter and for that you receive 50,000 chips and play to a 12-minutes clock where blinds start at 150/300/40a. The blind structure is such that there are no big jumps in the cost per round, meaning the cream usually rises to the top.

Satellite into the Dragon for just $0.50!

888poker’s network of satellites make it possible to win your way into the Sunday Mega Deep from as little as $0.10. What can you buy with ten cents these days? Not much, we can tell you. Imagine turning a $0.10 investment into a first-place prize weighing in at $20,000 or more. Now stop imagining and make it happen!

$500,000 Gtd GGMasters at GGPoker

We’re more than a quarter of the way through 2020 but there’s still plenty of time to climb the GGMasters Player of the Year leaderboard and put yourself in contention for a $500,000 ambassador package.

Everyone who cashes in the GGMasters tournament, a $150 buy-in freezeout with $500,000 guaranteed, earns Player of the Year points. The leaderboard’s winner secured a GG Ambassador packaged valued at up to $500,000. Those players finishing in the top 10 receive tickets to every GGMasters tournament taking place in 2021, something worth $7,800.

Winning the GGMasters usually awards a cash prize in the region of $66,000 to $70,000 depending on the number of entrants. Victory also awards approximately 1,300 Player of the Year points, based on recent field sizes, which would be enough to land you in the top five on the leaderboard.
