Shankar "burgersssss" Pillai Wins Fourth Event of WSOP Online Super Circuit Series

As a response to the changes to Atlantic City and LA/Las Vegas stops, WSOP.com has put together an 18-ring event online series for those inside the borders of Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware. The WSOP.com Online Super Circuit Series kicked off on Saturday and will run through March 31, with 18 official gold ring events, other nightly tournaments, and more than $1,000,000 in prize pool guarantees. The 18 events count for the Global Casino Championship leaderboard points standings, with the Main Event champion and Casino Champion from these events earning automatic qualification.
The fourth tournament on the schedule — Event #4: $75,000 GTD NLH High Roller 6-Max 2x Re-entry — featured a $1,000 buy-in and easily surpassed the guarantee. With a final count of 182 registered players and 108 rebuys, the 290-entry tournament offered a total prize pool of $276,950 that was paid out amongst the top 182 players with a min-cash starting at $2,520.
In the end, two-time bracelet winner Shankar "burgersssss" Pillai emerged victorious to capture a $74,776 first-place prize and a WSOP Circuit ring, the second of his career. Also at the final table were well-known poker pros Matt "RubberFist" Stout and Jonathan "jetsfan14" Borenstein.

The next two events on the WSOP.com Online Super Circuit Series schedule feature $50,000 guarantees at both a $215 and $320 buy-in price. Event #5: $50,000 GTD NLH 2x Re-entry and Event #6: $50,000 GTD NLH 2x Re-entry will take place on Wednesday (4 p.m. PST) and Thursday (4 p.m. PST) respectively.
