Joni Jouhkimainen wins $92,000 playing in the partypoker POWERFEST Super High Roller

It took five days, but we have our first partypoker Sponsored Pro bagging themselves a POWERFEST title, with Joni "Jjouhki" Jouhkimainen taking down Event #42 Super High Roller for $92,000.

There was plenty more for partypoker Pros to cheer after Thursday's results, with Matthew Staples narrowly missing out on a POWERFEST title, finishing second, and"iRunStims" bagging a $123k score, the biggest of the night.

Another partypoker Sponsored Pro performing well this POWERFEST is Kristen 'Krissyb24' Bicknell who ensured another final table result in Event #41-HR. The No Limit Hold'em 8-Max tournament was eventually won by "Riverdave" for $45,673.60.

Fellow Sponsored Pro Joao Simao also cashed in this event, finishing 25th for $2,329.60.

A field of 46 players smashed the $100,000 guarantee for Event #42-SHR, and it was partypoker's Joni Jouhkimainen who eventually came out on top.

The field contained several familiar names from earlier in the festival, including "PayAndPlay" and "NOLIMITHOLDEM" but it was the Finnish player who walked away with $92,000 in prize money and the POWERFEST title.

The biggest payout of the day came in Event #42-SHR as "iRunStims" walked away with a cool $123,725 after defeating "aaabbb" heads-up. They had to settle for $88,375, with the familiar name of "kgroqigmqtbmqom" coming in third, securing a $63,000 haul to go with the $60,000 they earned yesterday for a runner-up finish in Event #35-SHR, and the title they won in Event #8-HR earlier in the week.

Finally, it was a day to remember for partypoker's Matthew Staples who tied his second biggest online score with a runner-up place in Event #44-H. After an apparent deal heads-up with "Coup_de_grace", Staples would have to settle for second but was no doubt thrilled by his performance.

Joao Simao narrowly missed out on the final table, finishing 12th for around $3,200 in combined cashes.
