James Carroll Wins His First WSOP Circuit Ring

On Thursday, WSOP.com hosted the sixth event in their 18-ring event online series – WSOP.com Online Super Circuit Series – which is open to those inside the borders of Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware.

This 18-ring event series featured an enticing 1,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools. As of the sixth event, WSOP.com has blown away their guarantee and awarded $1,159,550 with 12 more events to come.

The sixth tournament on the schedule — Event #6: $50,000 GTD NLH 2x Re-entry — featured a $320 buy-in and quickly beat the guarantee. With a final count of 461 registered players and 265 rebuys, the 726 entry tournament offered a total prize pool of $217,800 that was paid out amongst the top 75 players with a min-cash starting at $696.

When everything was said and done, James "meatsweats" Carroll was the last man standing. Carroll's previous deepest run in a WSOP Circuit event took place in 2017 at a Lake Tahoe event where Carroll finished in 2nd place. Carroll took home the $53,361 first-place prize and his first WSOP Circuit ring. Also at the final table were well-known poker pros Matt "berkey11_s4y" Berkey and Brian "bexel" Sherrier.
