Weekend Preview for Mar. 1

The weekend is almost upon us and hopefully you’ll get some time away from the daily work grind and be able to find some spare time to play poker. There are some huge multi-table tournaments taking place this weekend, here’s our pick of the bunch.

$300,000 guaranteed GG Masters at GG Poker

The GG Masters is one of the most popular online poker tournaments and one of the events that’s jam-packed with value.

Not only does GGPoker guarantee $300,000 will be won for your $150 investment, it makes it possible for you to win a $500,000 ambassador package.

You earn Player of the Year points each time you cash in the GG Masters. More points come your way if you reach the final table, and even more if you are crowned the GG Masters champion. The top 20 points earners at the end of 2020 get their hands on some incredible prizes.

Finishing in second through 20th is worth entry to every GG Masters tournament in 2021. This is worth $7,800 at today’s prices. Top the leaderboard, however, and you’ll become a GG ambassador and receive a sponsorship package worth up to $500,000.

Slovenia’s br0keliving won last week’s event and banked a cool $41,277. They were also awarded 1,095.48 leaderboard points, enough to place them fifth in the Player of the Year standings.

Dozens of satellites are available in the run-up to the GG Masters, or you could always sell some of your action via the inbuilt staking software unique to GGPoker. Just make sure you play it!

$1 million guaranteed Sunday Million at PokerStars

Every online poker tournament player wants to win the PokerStars Sunday Million, maybe this is the week you do just that.

There are only three weeks until the 14th anniversary edition of the Sunday Million, a tournament with $12.5 million guaranteed. Play in this weekend’s Sunday Million to get in some practice for what is PokerStars’ biggest-ever online event.

The Sunday Million consistently awards the biggest prizes of the weekend, with the champion almost always netting a six-figure prize.

You don’t even need the $109 buy-in available to you because PokerStars excels in offering satellite tournaments. These satellites start at only $1.10 with Sit & Go satellites kicking off at a mere $0.50. What are you waiting for? Get qualifying for the online poker’s original $1 million guaranteed tournament today.

$1 million guaranteed partypoker MILLION

The partypoker MILLION is another must-play tournament this weekend. Last week’s winner, “alexis.onassis” turned their $215 investment into a massive $153,820.

This tournament is unique in that partypoker runs several Day 1s throughout the week and weekend that feed into Sunday’s Final Day. The final day kicks off at 8:00 p.m. CET and is designed to finish around 3:00 a.m. CET, making it perfect if you have to get up for work on Monday!

Sunday Million tips from the pros

Play your way into the Day 1s via $2.20 Phase 1 or $22 Phase 2 tournaments if the $215 buy-in is out of your reach.

Progress from Phase 1 and take your stack with you to Phase 2. The same is true for Phase 2, you take your stack with you to the $215 Day 1.

Another great thing about this tournament is it’s only hit the $1 million guarantee once since its launch, meaning there’s a ton of dead money in the prize pool. Enjoy!

$100,000 Sunday Mega Deep at 888poker

Last but not least, we suggest trying to play in the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep at 888poker. This $109 tournament has a fantastic blind structure that allows the cream to rise to the top.

The tournament usually misses its guarantee by a dozen or more entrants, leading to a first-place prize in the region of $18,750. This is the sum “cuadrado12” won on February 23rd, topping a field of 712 entrants and 246 re-entries.

Satellites for the Sunday Mega Deep are available from as little as $5.
