WSOP Circuit Releases Seven-Stop International Schedule for 2020

2 min read
The WSOP Circuit will be awarding plenty of rings on the International Circuit this spring.

The World Series of Poker's efforts to build up its International Circuit have resulted in a seven-stop schedule being released as the 2020 portion of the tour was "solidified," WSOP brass announced on Wednesday.

The schedule pushes the International Circuit's total number of events to 16. The previous season, just 12 stops were present on the International Circuit.

A brand new stop has been added at Casino Barcelona, in a locale which has become a poker hotbed due to the massive success of the European Poker Tour there. The stop is scheduled in June, during the WSOP.

Also of note is the tour doubling up on Casino de Marrakech in Morocco for the second year in a row.

“We continue to see great interest and feedback in our International Circuit series,” said WSOP Director Gregory Chochon, who leads the WSOP’s international efforts. “New markets have performed well and we’re continually searching for new locales to bring the WSOP experience to players in those regions.”

Individual Circuit schedules for each 2020 festival have yet to be released.

Here's a look at the full remaining schedule, including 2019 stops:
