Day 1a and Day 1b kicked off on Wednesday to get the Borgata Fall Poker Open $600 Deepstack event rolling. While Tuesday was the first day of action, Wednesday would be the first day to see a large prize pool built, and the marquee event drew a sizable crowd on the first two of four flights.

Day 1a

The first flight of Event #3: $600 Deepstack Kick-Off saw 243 runners walk through the door and after 15 levels of play, only 41 remain with Roumen Arabadjiev bagging the lead from Day 1a.

Arabadjiev sat just about average for most of the day and it was not until the last few hands of the night that he really started to catapult near the top, eventually bagging the lead with a stack of 488,000.

Some other players to find a stack on the bigger side of things include George Alberto (435,000), Ralph Macri (311,000), Mike Wang (251,000), Michael Marder (205,000), Will "The Thrill" Failla (204,000), Rafael Reis (158,000), and Ryan McKnight (154,000).

Wang is a former bracelet winner while Failla has claimed a Borgata Main Event title before with a win back in 2015 for over $280,000. Both players are names to watch as Day 2 plays out this weekend.

Day 1b

There were 210 entries on Day 1b of Event #3 $600 Deepstack Kick-Off. Of those, 29 players advanced to Day 2 and it's She Lok Wong at the top of the chip counts with 539,000, good for the overall lead after two flights.

Eric Siegel sits in second with 424,000 and Michael Goldberg rounds out the top three with 344,000.

The combined Day 1 survivors will return to the Signature Room on Friday at 12 p.m. to resume Day 2 play.
