Jared Bleznick takes Down 2019 Poker Masters $10K 8-Game

Jared Bleznick won the 2019 Poker Masters Event #4: $10,000 8-Game for $153,000, which also happened to be his first major live poker tournament victory.
Bleznick has battled it out on the virtual felt for several years under the moniker “Harrington10” and “Harrington25” and had won more than his fair share from the nosebleed stakes. Now he has a live title to his name after triumphing over a stellar field in the $10,000 8-Game event.

Forty-five players bought into this tournament, including some of the best mixed game players in the world. The likes of Eli Elezra, Adam Friedman, Dylan Linde, John Monnette, Anthony Zinno, Matthew Ashton, Jeremy Ausmus, Stephen Chidwick, Robert Mizrachi, and Calvin Anderson were among those who competed but failed to reach the money places.
Elezra busted in eighth place during a Stud Hi-Lo round, sent to the rail by Mike Gorodinsky, to set the final table and burst the money bubble simultaneously.
George Wolff crashed out in seventh place in 2-7 Triple Draw, losing out with a 9-6 low to Schulman’s 8-5. It was the same game that sent Brandon Adams to the rail in sixth place. Adams was drawing to a 9-8 against Schulman who made an 8-7.
Jake Abdalla also rued his luck in 2-7 a few moments later when Gorodinsky made a 7-6 low aftrer drawing three card on the first draw.
Gorodinsky lost those chips to Bleznick during a round of No-Limit Hold’em. Gorodinsky pushed all-in with nine-seven and Bleznick called from the big blind with the dominating ace-nine. Bleznick’s hand held and the tournament was reduced to only three players.
Those three became two with the exit of Schulman in third. Schulman’s demise as confirmed during a round of Stud 8, when Bleznick made both a low and two pair to win the entire pot.
It was Pot-Limit Omaha that ended the tournament. Cary Katz got his stack in with two pair but Bleznick had a superior two pair, aces and tens, to bust Katz in second place.

The race for the Purple Jacket is hotting up but it is still wide open. Event #5: $10,000 Big Bet Mix is down to its final six players where Stephen Chidwick has three-times more chips than anyone else in the field. Sam Soverel is guaranteed at least sixth-place so will climb up the Poker Masters Championship standings.
