One of the most eagerly anticipated stops on the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) is the one taking place in beautiful Prague, Czech Republic — and it easy to see why.

In 2018, the €10,300 No-Limit Hold'em 8-Handed event was won by Akin Tuna for €125,330, while the €1,100 EPT National attracted 2,486 players who were outlasted by Israel's Boris Mondrus who secured a €382,750 payday.

Austrian superstar Matthias Eibinger took down the €50,000 Super High Roller, coming out on top of a field of 40 to bank a cool €653,000.

The €2,200 EPT National High Roller was also impressive with 954 players creating a €1,850,760 prize pool.

Latvia's Yaniv Peretz emerged victoriously and walked away with the €340,700 first-place prize.

Thomas Boivin defeated Steve O'Dwyer heads-up in the first €25,000 Single Day to scoop €375,520 while Danish pro Henrik Hecklen sent Ole Schemion to the rail in second place in the €10,300 EPT Prague High Roller and padded his bankroll with €503,700.

Germany's Paul Michaelis is the reigning EPT Prague Main Event champion having triumphed in 2018.

Michaelis came out on top and banked €840,000 as part of a three-way deal involving runner-up Artem Kobylnskyi (€571,910) and third-place finisher Alexandr Merzhvinskii (€631,500).

Michaelis also won a Platinum Pass for the 2019 PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC).

Some of the world's most established pros have been crowned the EPT Prague champion.

Such luminaries as Arnaud Mattern, Roberto Romanello, Martin Finger, Ramzi Jelassi, Julian Track and Hossein Ensan, the latter becoming world champion in 2019 when he won the World Series of Poker Main Event.
