Shannon Shorr Wins $1,560 Purple Chip Bounty 8-Max

Event #20 of the Borgata Poker Open was the $1,560 Purple Chip Bounty 8-Max NLH. There were 115 entries creating a prize pool of over $111,000. When the dust settled in the late-night hours in the Event Center, Alabama poker pro Shannon Shorr (pictured above) was the last man standing.

Shorr built a big stack early and stayed near the top of the chip counts for much of the night. He entered heads-up play against Jeff Trudeau with a slight chip deficit but quickly took the lead and never looked back. It marked the second runner-up finish for Trudeau during the 2019 BPO after Event #12: $1,090 Six-Max NLH.

Shorr took home $32,907 and his first Borgata Poker Open trophy for his victory.
