The World Poker Tour heads to the beautiful Es Saadi Resort in Marrakech, Morocco from Sep. 14-22 for the latest stop of its popular DeepStacks tour. An action-packed schedule featuring 17 events has something for everyone, but it is the WPT DeepStacks Marrakech Main Event that every poker player has their eye on.

WPT DeepStacks Marrakech’s Main Event is a three-day affair with two starting flights, a Day 2, and a third and final Day 3. PokerNews’ Live Reporting team will be on the ground throughout the Main Event, bringing you exclusive coverage of what should be another massive tournament in Marocco.

Day 1A shuffles up and deals at 4:00 p.m. local time on Sep. 19 with Day 1B kicking off at the earlier time of 1:00 p.m. on Sep. 20. Day 2 commences at noon on Sep. 21 with the final day getting underway at 2:00 p.m. on Sep. 22.

It is possible to re-enter on each Day 1, with the buy-in set to MAD 13,200, approximately €1,245.

Another event that is sure to attract some of the world’s finest poker players is the MAD 20,000 (€1,885) WPTDS High Roller. This takes place over two days with Day 1 starting at 4:00 p.m. on Sep. 18 and restarting Day 2 at 3:00 p.m. on Sep. 19.

There’s also a Super High Roller costing MAD 30,000 (€2,830) that starts at 2:00 p.m. on Sep. 22 and is scheduled to crown its champion later on the same day.

The Casino de Marrakech is no stranger to hosting major poker festivals having run two WPT DeepStacks previously. Francois Tosques topped a field of 431 entries in the 2018 edition of the Main Event to bank €91,411 with Mamouni Smain walking away with the equivalent of $105,255 last year after triumphing over 432 opponents.

Earlier in the year, in June, the casino hosted the WSOP International Circuit festival. The highlight of that was the €1,360 WSOPC Anniversary Main Event. Phillip Huxley of the United Kingdom bested a field of 359 entrants to scoop €86,162 ($96,694).
