A total of 128 survivors from the three starting flights in the MPN Poker Tour Prague €550 Main Event began Day 2 on Saturday and by the time the late registration period ended on the first blind level of the day, the tournament had swelled to 402 entrants. The top 47 players either received their share of the 4,808,925 Kč (€192,357/$209,546) total prize pool already on Saturday night or will take home their cash on the final day on Sunday with the winner slated to earn a hefty 900,000 Kč (€36,000/$39,217) first prize.

A harrowing beat eliminated Thomas Westin on the bubble when his pocket kings couldn't hold up against nine-seven. As a consolotion, Westin was invited to play at the next MPNPT stop in London at Aspers Casino on July 18-21 on the house. A further 24 in-the-money players hit the rail before the close of play on Day 2 in quick time, setting the final day’s trophy-hunting hopefuls.

Leading the final 23 players is Grosvenor Poker qualifier Daniel Stacey with 1,650,000 chips. He surged ahead late in the day to pass Day 1A’s chip leader Mateusz Warowiec, who will be heading into the final day in third place with 1,126,000 in chips. Warowiec cemented his stack midway through Day 2 by knocking out the player with the next highest stack at the time to rake in the biggest pot of the tournament so far of 1.7 million chips. Also in the mix are Patryk Bablok (second - 1,200,000), Alex Clark (fourth - 1,012,000), and 2016 MPNPT Tallinn finalist Mantas Urbonas (16th - 291,000).

Also concluding on Sunday is the €220/5,500 Kč Hendon Mob Championship. Limited edition Hendon Mob merchandise was showered on the eliminators of special bounty players as the field dropped from 157 to the final table. Surviving players are guaranteed at least 16,500 Kč (€660/$719) for their efforts thus far with the winner will taking home 178,800 Kč (€7,152/$7,791).
