Unibet Open Heads to London From May 23-26; Paris Confirmed

The second stop on the 2019 Unibet Open tour takes place a The Poker Room above the iconic Grosvenor Victoria Casino in the heart of London from May 23-26. If previous editions of this popular event are anything to go by, those competing in the Unibet Open London Main Event are in for a treat.

This will be the eighth time that the Unibet Open has stopped off in London. Thanh Doan won the inaugural Unibet Open London Main Event in 2009, topping a field of 266 players to get his hands on £187,000. That event had a £2,750 buy-in, but the Unibet Open tour is now more affordable and accessible to players with a buy-in of £990.

Andreas Wiborg is the reigning champion having triumphed in 2018, outlasting 348-opponents to secure a £56,807 first-place prize and a place in the Unibet Open history books.

Unibet Open Malta and Unibet Open Paris

The Unibet Open heads to sunny Malta from Sep. 11-15 for the penultimate leg of the 2019 tour and the organizers have just announced the fourth and final stop will take place in Paris between Nov. 28 and Dec. 1.

Paris has hosted a Unibet Open Main Event once before, back in 2012. Poland’s Jarosalw Barglik emerged victorious on that occasion, defeating Sweden’s Kent Lundmark heads-up to lock up the title and an impressive €140,539 first-place prize.
