One of online poker’s longest-running rooms is to close its doors for good on April 28 after 13 years of operation.

RedKings Poker announced on its website that “after nearly 13 years of shuffling cards at the tables, we regret to inform you that we are closing two of our products on RedKings (Poker and Betting). The announcement aside, there is no explanation as to why RedKings is scrapping poker and sports betting.

Fans of the RedKings casino will be happy to learn the casino product is continuing as normal and players can continue to access their casino account using the same log in details.

RedKings Migrating Players to BetSafe

It is still possible to play at RedKings Poker until April 28, giving you approximately three weeks to clear what you can of any existing bonuses. Note that no new poker bonuses will be issued and the monthly Chase and Point per Day promotions have been stopped for April. It is also worth noting that any outstanding bets have to be settled by April 24.

The closure coincides with the Universal Championship of Poker (UCOP) series that runs across the MPN network from April 14-29 and features 61 events costing between €3.30 and €320 to enter, and €500,000 worth of guaranteed prize pools.

RedKings Poker players who enjoyed the promotions run by the soon-to-be-closed site can enjoy the same promotions by heading to Betsafe as the Swedish company has agreed to take them over.
