The Muck: 50 Cent Blasts Randall Emmett Over $1 Million Debt

4 min read

Randall Emmett is best known as an American television and film producer. He has also made waves in poker with almost $300,000 in live tournament earnings and made a big splash with a Phil Hellmuth type of entrance to the WSOP Main Event last summer.

While Emmett was the main focus on PokerGo's Poker After Dark recently, he's now come in the news because of some less flattering accusations. Curtis James Jackson III, better known as rapper 50 Cent, publicly called Emmett out on Instagram over a $1 million debt from six years ago. 50 Cent shared that $250,000 of what was owed was paid over the weekend.

Update April 29: All 50 Cent's Instagram posts related to this feud have been deleted.

Farah Galfond, who was competing against Emmett during Poker After Dark, shared on Twitter she was initially puzzled as to why her opponent was unusually quiet.

50 Cent continued his barrage with seven Instagram posts in just a few hours to his 23 million subscribers. The 43-year-old singer details the financial dispute and requests the resolution of the case for this Monday.

50 Cent also went on the offensive with Emmett's fiance Lala Kent including how Emmett offered Kent a Range Rover after their first date.

Kent attempted to defend herself by invoking the #MeToo movement to her 1.2 million subscribers. She has since deleted her answer.

50 Cent wasn't done, responding with a post to Kent, "There is no difference between Harvey Weinstein and Randel Emmett! This is the reality, not Reality TV Bravo Bitch."

50 Cent also mocked his debtor's answers and apologies for his health.

Reaction from the Poker World

The poker Twitterverse erupted after the controversy was made public including jokes about who would buy the ice cream this year at the WSOP.

Bill Perkins joked about the ongoing mark-up arguments taking place on Twitter.

Joey Ingram was one of the few to show sympathy to Emmett.
