$2 million guaranteed Omaha Series

Fans of pot-limit Omaha and pot-limit Omaha Hi/Lo will flock to partypoker from Apr. 28 to May. 5 for eight days of tournament action during the $2 million guaranteed Omaha Series.

partypoker beefed up its Omaha tournament offering t the start of the year following feedback from its players. PLO and PLO8 players can now enjoy a wide selection of tournaments on the half-hour from 07:30 a.m. CET through to 05:30 CET every day.

It is fair to say the Daily PLO Power Series schedule has been well received and is one of the reasons partypoker is hosting its first-ever Omaha Series.

Running from Apr. 28 to May. 5, the Omaha Series features 160 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $11 up to $530. Players can get involved in PLO and PLO8 tournaments with a number of different formats and blind structures, including turbos, hyper-turbos, deep stacks and the ever popular progressive knockout (PKO) tournaments.

PKO tournaments are great value at partypoker as the site does not charge rake on the bounty element of the buy-in. This leads to larger bounties on the heads of players, which in turn creates more action as players hunt for those valuable scalps. Another unique feature of partypoker’s PKO events is they pay first and second-place a similar amount and leave the heads-up duo to fight it out over the now sizeable bounty payment.

The first day of the $2 million guaranteed Omaha Series sees 17-events take place with almost $330,000 worth of guaranteed prize pools. This impressive sum is helped by two $50,000 guaranteed high roller events taking place; there are four such events scheduled in total.
