partypoker MILLIONS Online Smashes $20M Guarantee - 29 Players Remain
In December 2017, partypoker announced it would be bringing back the partypoker MILLIONS Online for a second year. The event has been hyped up for a full year with partypoker guaranteeing a record-breaking $20 million prize pool.
The lofty guarantee already guaranteed that this event would feature the largest prize pool in online poker history. The guarantee was smashed with the five opening flights on Nov. 25 to Dec. 4 attracting a massive field of 4,367 entrants to generate a mouth-watering $21,385,000 prize pool.

Day 2 began with 687 hopefuls left in the field with 500 players guaranteed a payout of at least $10,918. Barring any deals, at least four players will win a seven-figure haul with the winner slated to bring home a huge $2,729,376 first-place prize.
After the scheduled 18 levels of play on Day 2 on Dec. 4, the field was further trimmed down to 29 players with Mexico's "wheatforsheep" leading the way with 566,295,284 in chips followed by Malta's "j2805667" with 336,914,608 in chips.

Last year Jonathan "sordykrd" Van Fleet won the inaugural MILLIONS Online for $1,027,000 after navigating his way through a field of 1,047 entrants.
Despite exiting the turbo Day 1e flight with a sizable chip stack of 12,054,101, Van Fleet was unable to cash in this year's event finishing just short of the money in 504th place.
A handful of partypoker ambassadors advanced to the penultimate day of the historic event but failed to advance to the Final Day including Dzimitry "Dzmitry_Urbanov" Urbanov (535th) and Sam "SamTrickett" Trickett who failed to cash.
Other partypoker ambassadors were able to navigate into the money including Fedor "Fedor_Holz" Holz (31st - $65,505), Philipp "Phil_Gruissem" Gruissem (37th - $54,588), Joni "JJouhki" Jouhkimainen (63rd - $43,070), Joao "joaosimaobh" Simao (190th - $21,835), Anatoly "NL_Profit" Filatov (249th - $16,376), Roberto "WelshWizard" Romanello (265th - $16,376), and Kristen "Krissyb24" Bicknell (399th - $12,282),
Other notable players in the money not advancing to the Final Day included Sam "bestindabiz51" Panzica (46th - $49,129), Chris "Therealmoorm" Moorman (61st - $43,670), Kenny "Spacey1891" Hallaert (99th - $32,753), Niklas "Drulitooo" Åstedt (381st - $13,646), and Simon "HellmuthTheGr8" Mattsson (434th - $12,282).
Each of the 29 returning players for Final Day on Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. EST is guaranteed a payout of at least $65,505 with payouts scheduled as follows:
