Phil Hellmuth Discusses NBA's Draymond Green & More on Domenick Nati Show
The Domenick Nati Show – which covers news, pop culture, and celebrity interviews – is an iHeartRadio show hosted by celebrity publicist Domenick Nati. He’s interviewed the likes of Gene Simmons, Whoopi Goldberg, and Michael Vick, and as of this week, he added 15-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth to the list.
During his 10-minute appearance on the show, the “Poker Brat” plugged his new book #Positivity: You Are Always in the Right Place at the Right Time and talked about his “unreal life.”

He also talked about NBA stud Draymond Green, who plays for the Golden State Warriors. Hellmuth isn’t shy sharing his close connection to the team and relationships with the players including Green, who won the 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
Nati: “Phil's a master at marketing himself and as a Celebrity Publicist, I appreciate what he's done for the entertainment value of the sport."
“Draymond’s my boy,” Hellmuth said on the show. “I love him. If people really know who he was they’d love him.
He added: "He gets tilted on the court like I do in poker… Also, I've been helping him with his poker game."
Hellmuth then fielded questions from Nati and his home game counterparts drummed up. One asked if he had been to Macau for the high-stakes cash games. Hellmuth said he had not, but that the big games were moving to the Philippines.
In the interview, Hellmuth also revealed that he’s in talks to host a show on CNN, though he failed to elaborate.
Welcome to the Show
So how did Hellmuth end up on the Domenick Nati Show? PokerNews had the opportunity to ask the host himself.
“A bunch of us from our home game in Lynchburg, Virginia are going to Vegas in a few weeks,” Nati explained. “We play three times a week in my garage and smoke cigars. I thought it would be awesome to interview Phil and see if we could meet him at the Aria when we go.”
Nati’s producer made the interview happen, and it proved to be memorable for Nati.
“I thought he was really fun to talk to,” he said. “Phil's a master at marketing himself and as a Celebrity Publicist, I appreciate what he's done for the entertainment value of the sport. I really liked hearing about his extravagant life and how he stays grounded.”
Nati also revealed that Hellmuth likely won’t be the last poker guest on the show.
“Our Producer, Dave Foust, reached out to Daniel Negreanu and he emailed back,” Nati revealed. “I hope we can get him on in the future. He's got such a great poker mind.”
