The WPT Montreal Returns to Playground
The WPT Montreal returns to Playground for the 7th year in a row from October 26th to November 4th. The World Poker Tour has visited the Montreal area every autumn since 2012, and this year’s WPT Montreal promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
This year's series kicks off the new 4-year partnership between partypoker LIVE and the World Poker Tour with Season XVII WPT® Montreal. The series is made up of 7 massive events, including, for the first time ever, a WPT500, WPTDeepStacks, and WPT Main Tour event in the same festival! There will also be a Ladies Event, a $550 6-Max event, an $1,100 PLO tourney, and a $10,300 High Roller tournament.
The action kicks off with Event #1, the WPT500. The buy-in is just $550, but the WPT500 has a huge $1,000,000 guarantee. There are three online starting days (starting October 21) and seven live starting flights to choose from, including a turbo flight. Players are permitted one re-entry per flight, and players can join as many starting days as they like.
This year’s WPT Montreal promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
Up next is the $5,000,000 guaranteed WPT Montreal Main Event. The WPT Main Tour event features a single online Day 1 and three Live Day 1s, and each Day 1 allows players to enter and reenter as they strive to make the money in this historic event. When Day 2 arrives, the entire field will merge and the event will continue through to Day 5 when the Champion will be crowned.
The WPT500 and the WPT Main Tour event will be joined this year by a WPTDeepStacks event - in this case a $1,500 + $150 tournament with 5 starting flights, including the Turbo Day 1E. There’s another $1,000,000 guaranteed, so there’s lots to play for in this edition of the WPT Montreal.
A fresh addition to the schedule is a unique Caribbean Poker Party Overlay Satellite - meaning that in addition to packages awarded through buy-ins, there will be a $12,000 package added to the prize pool - a great opportunity for someone to play their way into the Caribbean Poker Party in Baha Mar, Bahamas later in November.
