Danielle "DMoonGirl" Andersen Defeats Lily Kiletto In Bench Press Bet
It all started with a five-bet jam from Kelly Minkin with 7x2x against Lily Kiletto during "Ladies Night" on Poker Night in America. Minkin and Kiletto had some action on the side with arm wrestling, and that spurred a new bet; Kiletto and Danielle "DMoonGirl" Andersen agreed on a bench press competition for $2,000.
Kiletto challenged Andersen because she believed that she could bench more than "DMoonGirl" in one month's time. She put $2,000 on the line to prove it. It was simple: whoever can bench more, will win $2K from the other person.
"If I can beat Danielle, then it would be embarrassing for her, and that would bring me great joy," Kiletto told PokerNews after it aired.
Andersen was a heavy favorite, as she does CrossFit regularly, while Kiletto never did a bench press in her life. Still, Kiletto was full of confidence: "I can squat 300 pounds at the moment, so I'm sure training arms won't be too difficult."
On Sunday, the prop bet went down, and it was "DMoonGirl" who won the challenge. They both started at 75 pounds and went from there. In the end, Andersen made it to 120 pounds while Kiletto finished with 95 pounds. Another bet awaits Kiletto. This time, she has to defeat Jamie Kerstetter in a one-mile race. Whoever wins the race will receive $1,000 from the other. "Kiletto said that she does more cardio so I suggested that I would race her for $1K, and she accepted," Kerstetter told PokerNews in August.
