XL Eclipse Day 6: Dietrich "2pacnrw16" Fast Wins The $200,000 High Roller

On the sixth day of the 888poker XL Eclipse Series, three new tournaments were scheduled. Most of the attention went out to the $200,000 High Roller, where some massive prizes were up for grabs.

After almost seven hours of play, Dietrich "2pacnrw16" Fast won the XL Eclipse #16 - $200,000 High Roller for $72,625. The event attracted 83 players for a total prize pool of $207,500.

Some of the best tournament players in the poker world registered to the event. Well-known pros like Sergio "zcedrick" Aido, Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson, Simon "Isildur1337x" Mattsson and Niklas "tutten7" Astedt had a go at the most expensive tournament of the XL Eclipse series, and some of them made a deep run.

Just seven places got paid in this tournament, and before coming close, the tournament lost "trino11" on the final table bubble. On the final table, two players had to leave empty-handed. Eventually, "Victoria92" and "carloc22" busted the tournament. Later mentioned finished as bubble boy after losing with ace-queen against Jacobson's pocket kings. The eventual final table was, however, by no means lacking household names.

Prebben "prebzzz" Stokkan was one of them, but he hit the rail in seventh place ($9,338).

Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson was down to twelve big blinds, and he shoved with pocket sevens. Jason "jadedjason" James made the call with pocket tens and held, eliminating Jacobson in sixth place for $11,413. After that, "CashedGiro" was eliminated in fifth place for $15,563.

It took a while, but then "KellerA" was down to just nine big blinds and shoved with ace-six. Sergio "zcedrick" Aido made the call with ace-jack and won the hand to eliminate him in fourth place for $20,750. Three-handed lasted for some time before "zcedrick" busted with ace-six against the pocket queens of Dietrich "2pacnrw16" Fast.

In the first hand of the heads-up, Fast moved all in with the bigger stack. James made the call with ace-ten and lost against queen-nine when a nine hit the flop. James had to settle for second place ($46,688) while Dietrich "2pacnrw16" Fast won the High Roller for $72,625.

This tournament had a buy-in of $215, and there were 451 players competing for a prize pool of $100,000.
