The ever-popular WPTDeepStacks tour sets sail for Morocco in less than two weeks’ time for the nine-day WPTDeepStack Marrakech festival.

An action-packed schedule of 26 events runs from Sep. 22 through to Sep. 30 and the PokerNews Live Reporting team will be on the ground at the Casino de Marrakech for the eagerly anticipated WPTDeepStacks Marrakech Main Event.

Main Event Details

The Main Event costs 13,200 Dh to enter, approximately €1,200, and features two starting flights. Day 1a shuffles up and deals at 4:00 p.m. local time on Sep. 27 with Day 1b commencing at the earlier time of 1:00 p.m. on Sep. 28.

Everyone starts the tournament armed with 30,000 chips and plays to 40-minute levels that start with blinds of 100/100. Antes come into play during the third level and it is the player in the big blind who pays the antes for the entire table.

Day 2, which starts at 12:00 p.m. on Sep. 29, sees the clock extended to 6 -minutes and will see the field whittled down to the final nine players, regardless of how long that takes. The third and final day’s action gets underway at 1:00 p.m. on Sep. 30 and the finalists will play to 60-minute blinds until the tournament is down to only two players. At this stage, the clock is reduced to 30 minutes until a champion is crowned.
