Throwback Thursday: Former NFL Star Richard Seymour Gets Grilled
The 2018 National Football League season starts today. Last year's Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, take on the 2016 Super Bowl losers, the Atlanta Falcons, in tonight's season opener. However, the team to watch is the team that played in both the 2016 and 2017 Super Bowls: the New England Patriots.
That is why, in this week's Throwback Thursday, we highlight former Patriot, now poker player, Richard Seymour. The three-time Super Bowl Champion was considered one of the best defensive lineman during his career. Although the former NFL star can no longer be seen playing on the football field for the New England Patriots or the Oakland Raiders, Seymour is now a familiar face at the poker tables!
During one of his first appearances on the live poker tournament circuit, Seymour got grilled by our own Sarah Herring. Herring wasn't shy when asking him about what songs get him pumped up or if he thinks Tom Brady was responsible for "Deflategate." Just weeks after this 2016 interview, Brady captured his fifth Super Bowl title after defeating the Falcons in a historic comeback.
