It was a Brazilian one-two in this weekend’s Sunday Million, which attracted a 6,120-strong field. Denmark’s “Frimodt” was the ninth-place finisher, their pocket tens losing a coinflip against the king-queen of “Pseudo Fruto” after a queen landed on the flop and a king on the turn.

The next exit was that of “Kracken73” of the United Kingdom. Kracken73 found themselves all-in with ace-king against the dominated ace-queen of Caio “caoihey” Hey. A double up looked in the cards until the queen of clubs appeared on the river to bust Kracken73.

Three hands later, “VAlehandro” of Macedonia committed the rest of their chips with ace-nine and lost to the ace-ten of Hey before “oppvsk” saw their pocket sevens lose to the ace-jack of “tomekato” when the latter improved to a jack-high straight.

“DUALMTN” of Canada, who was short stacked, pushed all in with ace-ten and lost to the ace-eight of Pseudo Fruto courtesy of an eight on the river, and that left only four players in the hunt for the title.

Those four became three when Pseudo Fruto’s kings held against the pocket nines of tomekato, and heads-up was set when Stephen “woody1234321” Woodhead jammed all in with a pair of fours only to lose to the king-jack of Pseudo Fruto when a king landed on the flop.

Hey trailed by 35 big blinds to 87 big blinds going into heads-up against his fellow Brazilian, but he managed to draw level and then take the lead to put himself on course for a $165,250 payday. Hey got his hands on that incredible sum when he limped on the button with king-deuce and Pseudo Fruto checked. A six-king-deuce flop saw Pseudo Fruto check-raise to 1.55 million before both players checked on the ten turn.

The river was a deuce, Hey bet 2.5 million, Pseudo Fruto made it 8 million and then called when Hey jammed all-in. Pseudo Fruto turned over pocket tens for a second-best full house, and Hey claimed the winner's circle.

A star-studded final table in the PokerStars Sunday High Roller saw Austria’s “WATnlos” come out on top to turn $2,100 into $48,096. WATnlos defeated Thailand’s “imluckbox” heads up to secure the title; imluckbox reached the final table of this very tournament last weekend.

Earlier at the final table, Russia’s Vladimir “shabalinvlad” Shabalin exited in eighth place for $6,600 and "Remi Lebo_10" from Ukraine went out next. Then, Mexico-based British star Scott “Aggro Santos” Margereson saw his tournament end in sixth place for a $11,641 addition to his bankroll.

Finland’s Samuel “€urop€an” Vousden busted in fifth place for $15,460 leaving everyone else to collect more than $20,000. “Majin Legacy” and “wijken” fell in third and fourth places respectively, to leave the aforementioned final pair to play one-on-one for the title.

“Tru3Justic3” was one of the biggest winners at partypoker on July 29 courtesy of triumphing in the 1K Sunday Big Bounty Hunter. A field of 228 contributed to a $232,560 prize pool made up half of the normal prize pool and half in bounty payments.

Alex “lindop310” Lindop busted in eighth place and won $2,500 plus an additional $2,372 worth of bounty payments. Bounties play a significant role in the latter stages of these big buy-in games - just ask “InthisCity” who busted in third place, but not before collecting nine bounties worth $7,340 that combined for an $11,817 haul from the regular prize pool.

Nobody claimed more scalps than InthisCity, although the eventual champion, Tru3Justic3, also claimed nine. One of those bounties was their own and that meant they secured $27,580 worth of bounties in addition to the $21,944 prize for being the tournament’s champion.

This week’s runner-up was “Dextered” who banked $16,121 and $7,410. It was a second consecutive runner-up finish in this tournament for Dextered. Will they better that finish this week?

A field of 58 entries took part in this week’s $2,600 buy-in Super Sunday High Roller to smash the $100,000 guarantee by $45,000. The player known as “onehundredeyes” took full advantage of the massive prize pool and bulldozed their way to victory to get their hands on $40,828.

“Uwannagobud” was the final table’s first casualty, a finish worth $6,887. They were followed to the rail by the UK’s number one online poker tournament player Jonathan “proudflop” Proudfoot in seventh place with “Alien_Army” busting in sixth place, the last player not to net five-figures.

“Psycoelios”, “MisterN411” and “pockjack0” all fell by the wayside to leave onehundredeyes and Oliver “sk2ll_m0dR” Wies to fight it out one-on-one for the title. Weis could not quite get the job done and busted in second place, but not before locking up $38,196 after a heads-up deal with his final opponent. Onehundredeyes netted $40,828 for their victory after the aforementioned deal.

Alessandro “ZeroNineee” Valli finished third in the $60,000 Whale at 888poker on July 22 and went two places deeper this week to take down the $70,000 guaranteed edition for a $26,650 addition to his bankroll.

The Slovenia-based grinder defeated Sweden’s “cuadrado12” heads-up to resign the Swede to their second consecutive runner-up prize in this $1,050 buy-in event. This week’s second-place prize was worth $17,220.

Each of the eight players at the final table locked up at least $3,280 for their $1,050 investment and this is the sum collected by Ukraine’s “chssk”. Netherland’s “Hanzokid” finished in fourth place and was the last player not to secure a five-figure score, namely $8,200.

“wellyxx” of Finland netted $12,300 for their third-place finish.

Team 888poker’s Parker “888tonkaaaa” Talbot came close to winning the 888poker $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep but had to make do with a seventh-place finish instead.

Some 503 turned out for this week’s Sunday Mega Deep to ensure the $100,000 guarantee was surpassed by $600. Talbot was the second player eliminated from the eight-handed final table, a finish worth $2,766.

Two British grinders were present at the final table, although neither could come away with a victory. “Lebeniss” busted in sixth place for $3,772 with “ezmoniesss” crashing out in third place for $10,814.

The latter’s exit left “chssk” of the Ukraine, who earlier finished eighth in the $100,000 Sunday Mega Deep, and “HomoDeus” of Germany to lock horns heads up. After a one-on-one battle, it was the German who emerged victorious to get their hands on $19,365 with chssk enjoying a $14,335 payday.
