Inaugural Oriental Poker Championship Heads to Macau May 23-28
The Poker King Club will be hosting a brand new tournament festival dubbed the Oriental Poker Championship (OPC). The first stop on the tour is just around the corner at The Venetian Macau Resort & Hotel for 11 action-packed tournaments from May 23-28.
The highlight of the poker festival is the HKD 16,500 OPC Main Event featuring a mouth-watering HKD 5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The event kicks off with three opening flights on May 24-25 with players bagging chips battling it out for three more days on May 26-28 in an attempt to become the first player in history to hoist an OPC Main Event trophy.
The PokerNews live reporting team will not only be on hand to cover the Main Event but also the opening ceremony on May 23 followed by the two-day HKD 100,000 High Roller on May 23-24.
In addition to the Main Event and the ten side events at the first-ever OPC will also feature tons of satellites to the Main Event and the High Roller where players can qualify into these events for a fraction of the cost.
