Barcelona is one of the most amazing cities in the world, one that from May 24 will be full of poker players who are competing at the 888poker LIVE festival where more than $1 million is guaranteed to be won before the curtain comes down on the final event.

More than 20 events and satellites are scheduled to take place at the Casino Barcelona from May 24 through to June 4. The festival kicks off with the 888poker LIVE Barcelona Opening Event, a €220 buy-in tournament that features a €100,000 guaranteed prize pool. This opening event has four starting flights and players can re-enter twice per flight as they attempt to progress to the final day’s play.

Another eagerly anticipated tournament is the €2,200 High Roller, which also has a €100,000 guarantee on it. Players in the High Roller can make unlimited re-entries if their bankroll allows. PokerNews would expect a whole host of 888poker Ambassadors to compete in this tournament, including British pro Chris Moorman who has already informed PokerNews he plans to play a busy schedule in Barcelona.

The flagship tournament, however, must be the €1,100 buy-in Main Event. The Main Event has three starting flights to choose from and each flight has late registration available for 12 levels of 45 minutes each. Players can re-enter as many times as they wish during late registration as they strive to make it through to the money places where at least €500,000 will be awarded.
