PokerStars 2018 SCOOP Schedule Boasts Record $65 Million in Guarantees
Ten years ago, PokerStars tried out a Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) for those who couldn’t wait for WCOOP. Needless to say, the event was a hit and has been a staple in the online poker yearly calendar ever since. Now, with the event running for the 9th time in 10 years, PokerStars has made the 2018 SCOOP the biggest one yet, with $65 million in guarantees and at least one tournament every day that boasts a minimum $1 million prize pool.
The series runs May 6-21 and as always, offers events at low, medium and high buy-in levels, ranging from $2.20 to $25,000. This year’s SCOOP offers 61 events for a total of 183 tournaments across all buy-ins, looking to outperform 2017’s record-breaking series. Last year, SCOOP awarded $93 million across 57 events in the biggest iteration to date, far exceeding the $55 million posted guarantee.

Adding to the SCOOP excitement are five $30,000 Platinum Passes for the 2019 Players No-Limit Hold'em Championship (PSPC) to be awarded to winners of the High, Medium and Low Main Events, the player who finishes atop the overall SCOOP leaderboard and the winner of the All-In Shootout Challenge. In addition to the Platinum Pass for the overall leaderboard winner, the top finishers in each tier will receive an added bonus as follows.

Series Highlights
With 61 events and three buy-in tiers across 16 days, the 2018 SCOOP schedule is jam-packed with high value events. Here are just some of the highlights, followed by the complete schedule of events.
A Phase tournament with Phase 1s running throughout the series and Phase 2 on Sunday, May 20 provides a big bang for your buck. The $2.20 buy-in has a $150K guarantee, the $22 buy-in boasts a $1 million guarantee and the $215 version features a $1.5 million guarantee.
A staple of the series, Event 14 High Rollers, kick off Wednesday, May 9 at 1 p.m. EST with an eight-max format. The $215 and $2,100 buy-ins guarantee $1 million prize pools while the $25,000 High one guarantees $2.5 million.
The Low, Medium and High Main Events with buy-ins of $109, $1,050 and $10,300 take place on Sunday, May 20. The Low version offers a $1.5 million guarantee while the Medium and High will pay out a minimum of $4 million and $5 million, respectively. And players must not forget the added Platinum Passes for the winners of each.

Qualify for SCOOP
The day before SCOOP kicks off, on May 5 at 6 p.m. GMT, a hyper-turbo freeroll will hand out $50,000 in SCOOP tournament tickets, available to all who have played in any past SCOOP event.
Players can also participate in Spin & Go qualifiers for $7.50 or $35, which award SCOOP tickets of up to $25,000. If you enjoy the Spin & Go format, you can play the Spin & Go challenge to get into two $25,000 SCOOP Freerolls that take place April 29 and May 5 at 3:30 p.m. GMT.
For a seat in these freerolls, players must earn 25 points through Spin & Gos between the qualifying periods of April 23-29 and April 29-May 5, both from 3:00 p.m. GMT until 2:59 p.m. GMT.
