888poker has released a new poker news round-up video called The Poker Brief on its YouTube channel, the 14th such video. Hosted by 888poker ambassador Kara Scott, The Poker Brief looks at the biggest poker stories from the past month and it even includes news that is not related to 888poker.

This month’s Poker Brief features what 888poker considers to be the biggest stories from February, which may be the shortest month on the calendar but it was a month packed with action from around the world.

Scott starts the 8:55 long video by talking about the US Poker Open and describes how the fact viewers could watch mixed games and high stakes no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha tournaments streamed on PokerGo is a good thing for the industry. Of course, PokerNews covered the US Poker Open so if you want to read how the events went down, check our recaps of the action.

Despite the MILLIONS Germany Main Event, won by Viktor “Isildur1” Blom for $1 million, being run by one of 888poker’s rivals, it features in the second slot of the latest Poker Brief. It goes without saying that Scott had to mention the ridiculous hero-call that Blom made to take down the title. Watch the video to see and listen to Scott’s praise of the hyper-aggressive Swede.

Next on the agenda is the partnership between 888poker and the WPT500 London, a £1 million guaranteed spectacular that runs over March and April. Thanks to the partnership between the two poker giants, 888poker’s players can qualify for WPT500 London online and can even play a Day 1 online knowing if they make it to Day 2 they are already guaranteed a payout.

Another 888poker-related piece of news was the round-up of the 888poker LIVE London Kick Off event, which featured a poker Valentine’s special. Want to know what that particular snippet is all about? Head to around the five-minute mark on the video.

Finally, rounding off the Poker Brief for February’s edition are the American Poker Awards. The 4th annual awards saw several members of the poker media and industry people pick up awards voted for by an expert panel and by fans of poker. Which award did Scott particularly enjoy see be given out? You’ll have to watch the video to find out!
