PokerStars Launches €5 Million Gtd. FRESH Series for French and Spanish Players
Two weeks ago, PokerStars combined its French and Spanish ring-fenced online poker rooms into one much larger site with shared liquidity between the two countries. In addition, the PokerStars.es domain opened up registration to players outside of both of these countries. The shared Spanish and French online poker room became first of its kind with PokerStars currently standing as the only site approved by gaming authorities in both jurisdictions.
Since the shared tables launch, the Spanish and French PokerStars has become the third largest online poker room in the world ahead of 888poker and partypoker, and behind only the international PokerStars and IDNPoker.
Feast Your Eyes on FRESH
Tournament players haven't been left out as guarantees on tournaments have soared and the online poker room has just launched a brand-new tournament series dubbed FRESH (France Espania Hold'em) Series.
The festival takes place from Jan. 28 to Feb. 12 and is the biggest online PokerStars festival for Spanish and French players to date with €5 million in guaranteed prizes spread across 50 action-packed events.
The highlight of the poker series is the two-day FRESH-48 Million Event - Progressive KO, which features a €250 buy-in and a huge €1 million guarantee on Feb. 11-12. The winner of the event will not only walk away with the lion's share of the prize pool but also a Platinum Pass package valued at $30,000 to the PokerStars Players No Limit Hold'em Championship (PSPC).
There are plenty of tournaments suitable for players with varying bankrolls with event buy-ins ranging from €10 to €250 and plenty of chances to get into events for a fraction of the cost or even for free.
In addition to the plethora of satellites running for all of the events, players can also qualify for the Main Event through Spin & Go tournaments. Free paths to tournaments include depositor and second chance freeroll tournaments. Also, a second Platinum Pass to the PSPC will be awarded in an all-in shootout involving all the players that entered at least one FRESH event.
