The partypoker LIVE tour sets sail for picturesque Punta Cana startingNov. 17, which is when the $10 million guaranteed Caribbean Poker Party gets under way.

It is the second consecutive year that the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party has taken place and the first year that eight-figures are guaranteed to be won. At the 2016 Caribbean Poker Party there were two tournaments scheduled: the $2,750 partypoker Million with a $2 million guarantee and the $5,000 WPT Caribbean Main Event with a $1 million guarantee.

Scotland’s Niall Farrell, who recently completed the Poker Triple Crown, took down the WPT Caribbean Main Event for $335,000. Canada’s Troy Quenneville triumphed in the partypoker Million for $400,000.

This year, the Caribbean Poker Party schedule expands with no fewer than five events available for players to participate in. These five events have buy-ins ranging from $1,100 to $25,500 and each has a guarantee of $1 million with the exception of the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event which boasts of a cool $5 million guarantee. In total there are $10 million worth of guaranteed prize pools to play for.

Satellites have been running at partypoker for several months and at least 600 of players got their hands on packages that included tournament buy-ins, hotel accommodation and cash for flights. These online satellites have now ended, but it is still possible to use funds in your partypoker account to buy into all five Caribbean Poker Party events, you just have to make your own way to Punta Cana.

The festival takes place at The Level at Melia Caribe Tropical, a five-star all-inclusive resort surrounded by lush gardens and boasting of its own private beach. As is usually the case at partypoker LIVE events, there is an extensive off the felt activity schedule planned, including a catamaran trip, golf days, zip lines, cocktail parties and an unmissable night at the amazing Coco Bongo nightclub.
