WPT Uruguay Offers a $1,500 Main Event, $5,000 High Roller, and More 0001

The World Poker Tour’s first televised event in South America is right around the corner, with WPT Uruguay kicking off on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. The festival features 11 great events with buy-ins from $220 to $5,000, including the highly anticipated $1,500 buy-in Main Event.

It all takes place at the beautiful Enjoy Punta del Este, located on a narrow peninsula along the southeast coast of Uruguay. The region is known for its incredible beaches and vibrant culture, and has all the makings of a truly spectacular poker vacation.

WPT Uruguay is presented by Brasil Poker Live and the festival’s $1,500 Main Event runs November 1-5. Players in the Main Event will start with 30,000 in tournament chips and play 40-minute levels until the field reaches the money, at which point the level time will increase to 60 minutes. The blinds start at just 25-50, giving all competitors 600 big blinds to work with at the start.

The tournament has two starting flights – Day 1a on Wednesday, November 1, and Day 1b on Thursday, November 2 – and players have the option to reenter an unlimited amount of times until the start of Level 10.

On Sunday, November 5, the final table of the event will be filmed for broadcast as part of the Season XVI WPT television schedule on FOX Sports Regional Networks.

In addition to the $1,500 Main Event on the WPT Uruguay schedule, don’t forget about the $5,000 High Roller scheduled to start on Friday, November 3. If luck doesn’t go your way in the Main Event, the High Roller is a great option to win your buy-in back and then some as you close out your trip to Punta del Este with a bang.

If you’re looking to qualify online for WPT Uruguay, you may do so via the Aconcagua Poker Network, where satellites are running regularly leading up until the event.

WPT Uruguay is the World Poker Tour’s second trip to South America in 2017, coming on the heels of the recent WPT Brasil event held at Infinity Blue Resort & Spa Camboriú. That event attracted nearly 3,400 entries.
