Three Reasons to Travel to WPT Uruguay 0001

1. Beautiful Beach Getaway

Punta del Este is world famous for its gorgeous beaches, and Enjoy Punta del Este, the resort where WPT Uruguay is being held from October 31 to November 5, is located just steps away. The southern peninsula of Uruguay is engulfed in sun and sand, making Punta del Este the perfect location for your next poker vacation.

Of course, we all know the main reason to attend WPT Uruguay is for poker and for a shot at reaching the televised World Poker Tour final table, but sometimes the cards don’t fall your way. When you’re in Punta del Este, Uruguay, taking one step outside the casino will wash away even the worst of bad beats.

Beachgoers have their pick of some of the world’s best coastlines, including Playa Brava or Playa Mansa, and you’d be remiss if you didn’t stop by La Mano to get a picture with the giant fingers in the sand that were sculpted by Chilean artist Mario Irarrázabal.

2. Visit Casapueblo and Faro de Punta del Este

In addition to snapping a few memories at La Mano, Punta del Este has plenty of other amazing things to see.

There’s Casapueblo, a uniquely designed building by Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró. Casapueblo currently operates as a hotel, but the building has a museum on site, as well as an art gallery, and both are worth checking out.

You can also take a trip to visit Faro de Punta del Este, which is the famous Punta del Este Lighthouse. There you will find beautiful views of Punta del Este and plenty of opportunities to capture some truly terrific photos.

3. Be a Part of World Poker Tour History!

The World Poker Tour is currently in its 16th season, dating back to 2002. If you can believe it, the WPT has never held a televised event in South America until now, with WPT Uruguay coming to Enjoy Punta del Este from October 31 to November 5. The $1,500 Main Event will be filmed for broadcast as part of the Season XVI WPT television schedule on FOX Sports Regional Networks, and this is your chance to be part of iconic poker history.
