Final Week of Global Poker's Eagle Cup Offers Extra Value for Players
With one week to go in the series, the $1,250,000 guaranteed Global Poker Eagle Cup is still going strong. The third week kept pace with the first two, with all events once again exceeding their posted guaranteed prize pools. Highlights for the exciting final week of the series include the Main Event, the Monster Freeroll, plus continued promotions offering even more value.
Main Event
This Sunday’s Eagle Cup Main Event is similar to the previous SC$15,000 guaranteed Sunday events of the series, but Global Poker is upping the stakes. The Main Event boasts a SC$25,000 guarantee for the same $110 buy-in and it kicks off at 4:15 ET.
If that buy-in is a bit steep for your budget, there are two smaller versions of the Main Event at 3:15 and 3:45 p.m. ET — GPC Eagle 38-L: MAIN EVENT NLHE $7,500 Guaranteed [2R1A] and GPC Eagle 38-M: MAIN EVENT NLHE $10,000 Guaranteed [2R1A] for buy-ins of SC$11 and SC$22, respectively.
Monster Challenge Freeroll
If you enjoy dabbling in cash games, there is an exciting event coming up just for you. Global Poker is putting up a prize pool SC$10,000 in the Monster Challenge Freeroll and there is no entry fee. To qualify, players must see 2,000 flops at minimum $0.25/$0.50 $weeps Cash ring games between Oct. 2 and 29 and the entry will be unlocked. The freeroll begins at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
Also on Sunday are an assortment of 6-Max events that include both pot-limit omaha and no-limit hold’em with buy-ins ranging from SC$3.30 to SC$55. You can check out the rest of the Eagle Cup series schedule here.
Eagle Cup Leaderboard
As the series nears its conclusion, all eyes are on the Eagle Cup Leaderboard that offers $15,000 of added cash value, including the chance to make Global Poker history. The series leaderboard winner will be receiving a package worth $5,000 which includes the opportunity to take their poker skills beyond the virtual felt and represent Global Poker in the live arena.
With under a week left to accumulate points, “JjlalwaysAA” remains at the top with 1,850. Several players are closing in, including “poker12” and “Penta” with 1,775 points each, and “Xodeadinsidexo” and “kefka777”, who are not far behind with 1,740 and 1,700 points, respectively. Will “JjlalwaysAA” be able to hang on?
