Throwback Thursday: 18-Year-Old Mike McDonald Wins Two Poker Awards
The "Bank of Timex" has evolved over the years and eventually led Mike McDonald to form PokerShares. But McDonald wasn't always the businessman and entrepreneur we know today. Once upon a time, McDonald was just a boy that popped up in the poker scene and took everyone by surprise. In this Throwback Thursday we look back at a baby-faced McDonald just shy of his 19th birthday.
In 2008, McDonald won two awards at the European Poker Awards: The People's Choice Award and the Best Overseas Player. Kara Scott finds out which trophy means the most to him and what his future plans look like.
