Event #73: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em MAIN EVENT
Day 3 of the Main Event wrapped early Friday morning right after the money bubble burst, leaving 1,084 players with at least $15,000 to show for their efforts so far. While some were able to accumulate during the bubble period, others were left with crumbs heading into the fourth day of action. The payout line will grow quickly when play resumes Friday as short stacks look to get their chips in and rebuild or go home.
Patrick Lavecchia leads the 1,084 survivors into Day 4, followed by Pawel Brzeski and former November Niner Antoine Saout. All bagged well over a million, along with two more former Main Event finalists — Kenny Hallaert and Ben Lamb. Hallaert finished sixth in last year's tournament and is eyeing another deep run.

Other notables in the hunt for the $8.15 million top prize are Sofia Lovgren, Charlie Carrel, Dominik Nitsche, Tony Gregg, Christoph Vogelsang, Max Silver, Marvin Rettenmaier, Davidi Kitai, Allen Cunningham and Liv Boeree.

Event #74: The Little One for One Drop - $1,000 +111 No-Limit Hold'em
Event #74 represented a last chance for many poker players, or a summer saver as some may call it. Several players took the event very seriously on the final Day 1 flight on Thursday. Chris Ferguson, for example, grinded out the day creating a large stack of 93,400 by the end of it. Daniel Negreanu managed to bag as well, bringing 56,500 to Day 2. The two poker legends bring some star power to the Little One after each busting the Main Event.
Giuseppe Pantaleo sets the pace for the 784 who will return for Day 2 action on Friday. Pantaleo bagged a massive stack of 335,800. Among those chasing him include Eric Wasserson (150,000), Paul Volpe (138,200), Jean Gaspard (169,300), Tony Dunst (102,600), Jason Mercier (91,000), Joseph Cheong (80,600), David Bach (78,700) and former Main Event Champ Martin Jacobson (64,500).
