partypoker Quick-Fire Sit & Go Leaderboards

Online poker giant partypoker is set to introduce a new Sit & Go leaderboard on June 14, one that runs throughout the weekend.

Leaderboards are nothing new to online poker, but these Quick-Fire Leaderboards created by partypoker do have a different twist from the traditional leaderboards were are used to seeing.

Instead of players having to grind for a week, or even a full month, players competing in partypoker’s Quick-Fire Leaderboards award prizes every four hours from 4 p.m. CET on Friday through to 11:59 p.m. CET on Sunday.

The leaderboards are split into three buy-in categories in an attempt to make it fair for all players regardless of the stakes they play. The Low leaderboard is reserved for $5.50 or less buy-ins, the Medium leaderboard is for $11, $22 and $55 buy-ins, with $109 or higher buy-ins earning points for the High leaderboard.

You earn points based on the following formula where “n” is the number of players in the Sit & Go, the buy-in is the cost of the Sit & Go buy-in and the rank is your finishing position in the tournament:

10 * [√n/√rank] * [1+log (buy-in+0.25)]

Lastly, anyone playing in 12 Sit & Go tournaments during the Quick-Fire weekend is automatically entered into a random draw where one lucky winner will be awarded a $10,000 package to the upcoming Caribbean Poker Party festival in Punta Cana.

If you want to get involved in the Sit & Go Quick-Fire Leaderboards you need a partypoker account. Download partypoker via PokerNews, enter the bonus code “PNCOM” when making your first deposit and partypoker will match your deposit amount 100 percent up to a maximum of $500.
