Jari Hurri Heads Field at Close of Day 1A MPNPT Manchester
The £150,000 guaranteed MPNPT Manchester kicked off Thursday in style – 74 poker players from all over Europe arriving at the Grosvenor Casino to contend the first of two starting days. The players had 25,000 chips and 45-minute levels (as well as potentially unlimited rebuys) to showcase their poker skills. After twelve keenly-contested levels and 14 rebuys, just 17 remained at the close – Finnish player Jari Hurri heading the field with 190,600 chips. Hot on his heels were Miguel Mora with 180,900 and Andrew Lewis with 172,300.
Day 1b of the Main Event begins at noon with the same late-registration and re-entry options (i.e. unlimited) available throughout the day. Live coverage continues on the MPN Poker Tour blog throughout the Main Event, with the final day’s action streamed live on both Twitch and Facebook Live.
Side event action commences Friday at 19:00 with the £100 + £10 NL Hold’em Turbo tournament, continued on Saturday with the MPNPT UK Poker Cup (15:00) and the MPNPT Omaha cup (19:00), both with a £135 + £15 buy-in. The MPN Poker Tour Manchester runs from 20-23 July at Grosvenor Casino, Manchester.
