Fintan Hand and Ben Spragg Become Part of Team PokerStars Online
partypoker has been adding ambassadors and sponsored pros to its roster over the past couple of months and now PokerStars has got in on the act by adding a brace of players to its Team PokerStars Online stable.
Fintan “EasyWithAces” Hand and Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg are both professional poker players and Twitch streamers and join a seven-strong team made up of Lex Veldhuis, Randy Lew, Adrienne Rowsome, Mikhail Shalamov, Felix Schneiders, Jaime Staples and Kevin Martin.
Hand is a well-known figure on the United Kingdom and Ireland live poker circuit and has amassed just shy of $42,000 in live tournament winnings. Hand recently finished seventh in the 2017 Irish Open in Dublin for €19,445 – his largest live score – while sporting a rather fetching shamrock emblazoned suit.
The Irishman has more than 18,100 followers on his Twitch channel and is active across all major social media channels.
Spragg is another player who is playing the social media game well and his hard work promoting himself has obviously not gone unnoticed by PokerStars. Spragg’s legion of 17,800 followers on Twitch will be delighted that their hero is now going to be sporting the famous red spade when he is grinding online at PokerStars.
Like Hand, Spragg has around $42,000 in live tournament cashes, although he hasn’t recorded a cash in the live arena since his sixth-place finish in the UKIPT Galway Main Event in 2013, preferring to play online instead.
Both Hand and Spragg will stream daily content for PokerStars every weekday from 1:00 p.m. BST with the first broadcast expected today, July 18. To mark the start of a new era for Hand and Spragg, the pair will kick off with a special Progressive Super Knockout Twitch tournament at 3:00 p.m. on July 18.
The tournament, which is called Twitch Micro Madness, is a $1.10 buy-in event where a progressive bounty of at least $0.25 is awarded for each opponent eliminated. Played as a Zoom tournament, the Twitch Micro Madness doesn’t have a guarantee as such, but PokerStars has promised each of the nine players who reach the final table will win a $22 Micro Millions Main Event ticket. Also, whoever re-enters the most times will receive a free hoodie and anyone who is eliminated by a Team PokerStars member will receive their $1.10 buy-in back.
